I'm wondering if any of you guys that make a lot of guitars ever have too many offcuts? I could use a few scraps for cauls, patches etc. and since I'm still on my first build, I just don't have much around. For example, I'm trying to repair an old parlor guitar for a friend, and I need about 6 inches of back graft material or just a softwood scrap. (Don't worry - the guitar is worthless - I checked before hacking at it). Would any of you be willing to part with some of these scraps that are maybe just a nuisance to you, but would be mighty handy for me? I'd pay the shipping, of course. Thanks in advance, Ron Weaver |

Hi Ron! I'd be glad to help but I just cleaned the shop and anything that wasn't headed into a guitar is GONE! Maybe in a couple months I can shoot something your way if you are still looking! |

Thanks very much. I'm sure I will be, since it will probably take me a couple of weeks to finish the first one up and then I'm going to move my shop to a bigger room. ![]() Please - just the stuff that's headed for the garbage bin - I can buy the other stuff - it's just that I've had several occasions already where I wished I had a piece of this or a scrap of that. You know? Thanks again, Ron |
